Grenda Transit Management

Grenda acquires Invicta Bus Lines

On the 4th of February 2009, Grenda Corporation entered into an agreement to buy the shares of Transit development P/L, the company that owns Croydon Bus Service and the trading name, Invicta Bus Lines. Subject to approval from the Government, Grenda will take over at the end of this month.

Invicta employs around 150 people and has 102 buses which cover almost 6 million kilometres per annum. Their main depot is located in Lilydale and they have a new, as yet unused, depot in Scoresby. Over time Invicta will be integrated into the company under the Grenda Transit Management (GTM) banner. Its addition will see Grenda’s fleet size grow to almost 600 buses and employees in GTM to just over 1000.

This is a very exciting development for Grenda and the company looks forward to welcoming its new employees.
